BSW Overview

The Bachelor of Social Work program is a comprehensive four-year academic endeavor designed to equip and train social work practitioners; some prefer to call them social doctors. These professionals play a vital role in fostering social change and problem-solving at micro, mezzo, and macro levels. With the demand for social workers on the rise, the field continues to evolve, introducing new practices and theories to address societal challenges.

As a multidisciplinary subject, social work empowers students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills to combat various forms of discrimination, including poverty, mental health issues, disabilities, addiction, and more. By pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work, students become equipped to make a meaningful impact in society's most pressing issues.

BSW Curriculum

Students are required to take Compulsory English in the first and the third years and Compulsory Nepali in the second year. University offers Alternative English in the second year for international students as an alternative to Compulsory Nepali.

BSW Admission Process

Students with eligible criteria can apply to study TU BASW.

Entrance Exam: not required
Student can directly visit the college and complete the admission process.

BSW Eligibility

Students seeking admission in Social Work must have secured at least a D+ in all subjects in Grade 11 and Grade 12.

passed + 2 or Intermediate or PCL from TU or from any other institution recognized by TU with a minimum of 45% marks.
